Actreo hardwoods is owned and run by myself (Adam). At the age of eighteen I trained in forestry at Hereford College of Agriculture. After that I worked in forestry harvesting, mainly felling timber, but also other forestry related work.

Now, after twenty five years of forestry work I have had to change direction as a result of  back problems. With my background in the timber industry I decided to start my own wood yard.

Actreo Hardwoods only supplies wood from ethically sourced forests in the south of France. The wood is PEFC certified meaning it is all from sustainably managed woodlands.
